Raagang: Bansuri Riyaz Retreat, Jaipur, October 2026

Raagang is open to bansuri players of all levels who are looking to deepen their practice, strengthen their technique, and develop greater musical understanding and expression. Participants should bring their own E bass bansuri and be comfortable playing and practising on it during the retreat.

Raagang will take place from October 9–13, 2026, at Jaipur Jantar Hostel, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Participants will stay in well-maintained shared dormitories within the venue premises. Accommodation includes 6-bed, 10-bed and 12-bed dormitories. Single and double occupancy rooms are not available.

The retreat fee includes all learning sessions with Ashwin Srinivasan, guided riyaaz and musical Sadhana, practice spaces, shared dormitory accommodation and all meals during the retreat. Raagang is a fully hosted residential retreat, so tuition-only or stay-without-meals options are not available.

Participants should report at the venue at 9:00 AM on October 9, 2026. The primary retreat sessions will run approximately from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, with guided learning, practice sessions, and breaks for meals and refreshments. If you plan to arrive in Jaipur earlier, please make your own accommodation arrangements before the retreat begins.

Check-out is by 12:00 noon on October 13, 2026.

Ashwin Sir will remain at the venue until the end of the day, so participants are welcome to stay on and spend time together after check-out.

Please bring your own E bass bansuri, a notebook and writing material, tuner/metronome (app or device), water bottle, and comfortable clothing for practice and your stay.

We also recommend carrying a light warm layer for cooler mornings and evenings.

Any additional requirements will be shared with registered participants before the retreat.

As everyone will be sharing dormitory spaces, we ask participants to be considerate of their fellow musicians.

• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Please keep conversations, calls, music and notifications low.
• Please use earphones or headphones when listening to audio or watching content in the dormitories.
• No food inside the dormitories. Please use the café or common areas for meals and snacks. Water bottles are fine.
• Keep your bed, belongings and shared spaces clean and organised.
• Please keep valuables securely stored. The hostel is not responsible for unattended belongings.
• Use the common areas for conversations, music and socialising, particularly during quiet hours.

A little consideration helps keep the retreat comfortable, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.
